Course Overview

This course will provide learners with a deep understanding of the concepts and terminologies associated with reimbursement strategies. Throughout the course, an emphasis is placed on health equity as a lens through which to examine reimbursement strategies and the role of pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs). You will critically evaluate how these strategies impact underserved communities, marginalized populations, and individuals with limited access to care. By doing so, you’ll be better equipped to propose evidence-based solutions aimed at reducing health disparities and promoting equitable reimbursement practices.
