A complex, chronic disease, obesity is not a life choice or character flaw. While obesity increases the risk for cardiovascular disease (CVD), it can be a difficult topic to discuss.
This tool focuses on identifying obesity, the importance of treatment, risk factors, and management—including lifestyle, medications, and surgery. Use as a tool to guide clinical visits, support patients, and as an at-home resource for patients and their families.
