Course Overview
This pharmacology course will take you through the effectiveness, dosing, contraindications, and adverse effects of antidepressant medications in treating depression while exploring their interaction with CVD therapies and their application in special populations, including older adults, pregnant women, and patients with cardiovascular diseases including arrhythmia and heart failure.

Learning Objectives
- Review the common classes of antidepressant medications and their effectiveness in treating depression.
- Discuss the dosing, titration, contraindications, and adverse effects of common antidepressant therapies in combination with common CVD therapies.
- Explain the application of antidepressant therapies in special populations including older adults, pregnant women, and patients with cardiovascular diseases including arrhythmia and heart failure.
CE certificate is available upon successful completion of the post-test and program evaluation.
