Sue Koob, MPA
Chief Executive Officer
Koob has been the Chief Executive Officer of the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association (PCNA) for over 15 years.   She is responsible for the overall management of PCNA and with the aide of her staff and volunteers the strategic direction as well. She has a passion for promoting prevention and enjoys working with her board of directors and staff to increase visibility for the important role nurses play in the prevention of cardiovascular disease. She received her Masters of Public Affairs from Indiana University and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Kansas University.

Mary Callen
Membership & Chapter Coordinator 
Callen is responsible for managing and growing membership, working with chapters to facilitate strong relationships, as well as identifying members who have strong potential to become leaders in the organization. Over the course of her career, she has demonstrated strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of professionals, government agencies, university and scholastic leaders and external partners.

Laura Chapman 
Administrative Assistant 
Chapman brings more than ten years of experience in customer service and has an additional five years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant. She says her past jobs and experiences are part of what make her unique and deserving of the Administrative Assistant position. Chapman holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Ethnic Studies from Edgewood College.

Kelly Forman 
Operations Manager 
Forman’s responsibilities include day-to-day project management, office oversight, human resources, and financial work. She brings more than five years of experience in the not for profit sector. She also serves on multiple committees and boards. Forman is a board member of Wisconsin Environmental Health Network/Physicians of Social Responsibility and Community Shares of Wisconsin.

Suzanne Hughes, RN, MSN, FAHA, FPCNA
Clinical Education Project Director 
Hughes originally received a 2 year degree in nursing from Youngstown State University and later received a BSN from the University of Akron. She received her master's degree in nursing from Kent State University in 2003. Hughes is responsible for leading the development of all professional and patient education projects, and serves as the lead staff for PCNA's AANP CE providership. She gives clinical insight to PCNA staff on external communications and supports the CEO on corporate development. Hughes served on the PCNA board for many years before transitioning to her new role as Clinical Education Project Director. She feels very fortunate to be able to contribute to the PCNA mission as a staff member. She is also an active volunteer with the American Heart Association and was awarded the "Healthcare Volunteer of the Year" award in 2012.

Rolando Kahn
Public Relations & Marketing Assistant
Kahn is responsible for day-to-day marketing tasks such as communicating with supporter representatives, coordinating the monthly e-newsletter, updating the website, and conducting market research. As a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with a degree in Journalism, Advertising, and Media Studies, Kahn is excited to be working with PCNA and continuing to expand his knowledge of the marketing and non-profit worlds.

Tia Rice
Grants Coordinator & Advocacy Liaison


Peggy Rynearson 
Meeting Planner
Rynearson is chiefly responsible for planning and supervising all aspects of the PCNA Annual Symposium, regional PCNA chapter programs and board of directors meetings. She also manages exhibitor relations and works with sponsors on satellite events at various PCNA programs. Rynearson has extensive experience planning meetings and conferences in both the non-profit and business sectors and holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Joe Searls
Public Relations & Marketing Manager
Searls is chiefly responsible for developing and overseeing all association marketing and communication strategies, working with corporate supporters and fostering strong relationships with national and international media contacts. He is also responsible for the implementation of PCNA’s new content management system. Searls has extensive experience in marketing and public relations, with a background in the health benefits field. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Media Communications from Edgewood College.
