Sue Koob

Sue Koob, MPA, has been the Chief Executive Office of the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association (PCNA) for over 19 years. She is responsible for the overall management of PCNA and with the aid of staff and volunteers the strategic direction as well. She has a passion for promoting prevention and working with her board of directors and staff to increase visibility for the important role nurses play in the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease. She received her Master of Public Affairs from Indiana University and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Kansas University. She was the 2015 recipient of the National Forum on Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention’s Heart Healthy and Stroke Free Award and is a long-time member of the American Society of Association Executives. She enjoys cooking and spending time with family.
