
Jane A. Linderbaum
Bio
Jane Linderbaum is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and the Director for Clinical Dissemination of ANIMATE (Mayo Artifical Intelligence Delivery within the electronic medical record). Jane was previously the Associate Medical Editor for AskMayoExpert (AME), a point-of-care, content-delivery tool that aids Mayo Clinic providers in making the right clinical decision, for the right patient, at the right time. Jane leads teams to arrive at Mayo consensus-driven best practice protocols and specialty point-of-care decision tools for busy clinicians. Jane practices in structural heart disease, with focus on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and valvular heart disease and is the Co-Associate Vice-Chair of Cardiovascular Outpatient Practice at Mayo Clinic.
Previously, Jane directed Mayo’s Cardiovascular Inpatient Operations, leading the initial development of cardiovascular team model care at Mayo Clinic, including NP/PAs and innovative interdisciplinary practice models. Jane founded and directed the first Mayo CME Course for Advanced Practice Providers, Mayo Internal Medicine Review Course for NP/PAs and Primary Care Providers and has received the Mayo Clinic Distinguished Educator, Mayo Outstanding Course Director, and Mayo Innovation in Education Awards.
Jane is a Fellow in the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association (PCNA) and has participated as faculty on live and virtual education programs, in addtion to national specialty organization collaborations. She has worked with teams to establish clinician, nursing and patient education and has been awarded the Terry Thomas Clinical Practice award by PCNA. Jane is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and has been awarded the ACC National Distinguished Associate Award. She was founding faculty and co-director of ACC’s Core Curriculum Course for the Cardiovascular NP/PAs in Washington DC. Jane has participated in national guideline and competency authorship including ST-Elevation MI, Stable Ischemic Heart Disease and the TAVR guidelines. Jane co-chaired the ACC Clinical Competencies for NP/PAs in Cardiovascular Medicine, published in JACC, 2020. Most recently, Jane was the national Cardiovascular Team Lead, for the American College of Cardiology National Meeting with over 12,000 attendees in 2023. Jane was recently named a Legacy Member in the Academy of Educational Excellence at Mayo Clinic for Curriculum Design and Assessment.
