To address barriers to optimal primary and secondary prevention of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD), PCNA coordinated and hosted virtual roundtable summit meetings in 2021, 2022, and 2023 with key stakeholders from the continuum of care.

  • In 2021 participants were purposefully selected from diverse geographical and practice settings, health policy/advocacy, and patient groups to discuss reducing ASCVD with a population health approach.
  • In 2022 the multi-disciplinary group took a deep dive into proposing calls to action to aid in effecting positive change in patient ASVCD-related health outcomes.
  • In 2023 the team took a deeper dive into how critical stakeholders in ASCVD prevention and management can develop collaborative strategies and break down silos to enhance care.

Each year, key opinion leaders ranged from nurse, physician, and pharmacist clinicians to executives representing patient advocacy and clinician-focused organizations to national and local policy leaders.
