Dr. Nicole Crossley, Chapter Leader of the Oklahoma Chapter, is a nurse scientist whose research focuses on preventive perinatal health strategies aimed at promoting optimal cardiometabolic health outcomes for families across the lifespan. Drawing on her dual expertise as a registered nurse and a registered dietitian, Dr. Crossley’s work emphasizes the critical importance of early interventions in improving long-term health for both mothers and their children. Her research aims to address health disparities by developing evidence-based approaches that integrate nutrition, nursing care, and health promotion during the perinatal period, ultimately fostering better health outcomes throughout life. Dr. Crossley obtained her BSN and PhD at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences and nutrition degrees (BS and MS) at Oklahoma State University. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing.
