Serina Gbaba, DNP, MBA, FNP-BC, is a cardiology nurse practitioner dedicated to advancing cardio-metabolic health. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice from the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School. A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Gbaba is deeply committed to preventing cardiovascular disease through community-based health screenings and education.

She has led successful quality improvement initiatives that increased diabetes self-management education referrals and participation helping patients decrease risk of long-term complications of diabetes. Dr. Gbaba has shared her research at national and international conferences and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications focused on advancing cardio-metabolic health.
