Dr. Sadiya Khan is the Magerstadt Professor of Cardiovascular Epidemiology, Associate Professor of Medicine, Preventive Medicine, and Medical Social Sciences, and the Director of the Center for Population Science and Aging. Dr. Khan’s clinical expertise and research focus on epidemiology, risk prediction, and mechanisms of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Khan’s research efforts are supported by multiple grants from the National Institutes of Health and the American Heart Association. Dr. Khan has published over 400 peer-reviewed scientific research publications in leading medical journals and has a Scopus h-index of 58 [November 2025]. Her original science has been highlighted by the AHA as among the Top Advances in Heart Disease Research for five consecutive years (2020-2024). She serves in key leadership roles within the AHA/ACC, including as the Chair of the AHA Working Group that developed the PREVENT equations.
