Lindsey Garner

Lindsey is employed at Stern Cardiovascular Center in Southaven, MS working directly with Dharmesh Patel, MD. She is affiliated with Baptist DeSoto Hospital. Lindsey is currently serving as the Mississippi ACC Ambassador for the Southaven area. 

Her nursing education began at Bevill State Community College where she graduated with honors in 2009 as an RN. She then pursued her bachelor’s degree at The University of North Alabama graduating in 2011. She completed the family nurse practitioner program at the University of South Alabama in 2015 receiving her masters of science in nursing (MSN) graduating magna cum laude. 

While still practicing as a registered nurse, Lindsey worked multiple ICU and ER settings  eventually being in ER management as she returned to practitioner school. She was always drawn to advanced cardiac care. 

As a medical provider, she started at an esteemed internal medicine in rural Alabama where she gained a passion for providing top notch medical care, education and resources for those who didn’t have direct access to specialty services. She was blessed with the opportunity to transition to general cardiology specialty in 2018 where she strives to provide optimal care for her cardiac patients from educating and identifying early risk factors, encouraging life style modifications while working with genetics, and optimizing therapies with multiple long term cardiac diagnoses. 

Lindsey is married to Nathan Garner since 2012 and has a very spoiled dog and two God sons as well as a lot of bonus children she is blessed to love. She is very active in the USTA tennis community as well as helps with local non-profits to provide community resources.
