Dr. Colleen Spees is a Professor of Medical Dietetics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Director of the HOPE Lab, and a Fellow of the American Heart Association and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Her laboratory designs and evaluates Food is Medicine interventions that expand access to culturally appropriate, cost-conscious and nutritious food to improve cardiovascular outcomes and reduce disparities. Her scholarship and contributions to national guidelines serve to translate nutrition science into practice and policy for multidisciplinary teams, including cardiovascular nursing.
