Carol Milliron, MSN/MHA, RN, EdD (Nursing Education), is a nursing professional with over 35 years of diverse clinical and academic experience. She currently serves as Interim Assistant Dean of Nursing Programs at Yakima Valley College, where she has been a faculty member since 2015. Dr. Milliron’s teaching expertise spans concepts in cardiac, respiratory, renal, hematology, as well as chronic disease management. She played a key role in the development of the Practical Nurse program curriculum in 2020 and has also taught in Allied Health programs at both Yakima Valley College and Walla Walla Community College. Her clinical background includes leadership in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, and staff nurse positions in critical care, telemetry, operating room, and employee health, with a strong focus on cardiovascular wellness and community education.
Throughout her career, Dr. Milliron has demonstrated leadership and service in both academic and clinical settings. She is a Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) and Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN). She is a member of multiple professional organizations including the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association (PCNA), the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), the National League for Nursing (NLN), and a past president of Northwest Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (NWCVPR). She is the current chair of the Communications Committee for the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association |(PCNA).
