Angela Summer, DNP, MPA, RN, CVRN-BC, has ten years of cardiovascular nursing experience, including seven in cardiac rehabilitation. She is currently a full-time Assistant Professor at Carlow University and the Director of the Accelerated Second-Degree BSN program. She has a passion for educating our next generation of nurses on cardiovascular care in fundamentals, health promotion, medical surgical nursing, and health policy courses. As Chapter Leader, Angela’s goal is to foster collaboration, professional growth, and advocacy to improve patients’ cardiovascular outcomes. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband, son, and their two dogs: Hank and Barry.
