Chapter Introduction

The Southeast Minnesota Heartland Chapter of the Preventive Cardiovascular Nursing Association was founded in 2019 by Kate Nilges, RN-BSN, to bring further awareness and education on cardiovascular disease to the area.

Our chapter strives to promote professional development and networking among cardiovascular professionals in our area, as well as nationwide. We aim to increase awareness regarding cardiovascular disease and further educate ourselves and our peers on the newest preventive and therapeutic modalities. We hold educational programs in the fall and spring and highly encourage attendance at the Annual Symposium, as this is a great opportunity to learn together and network within our ever-growing field.
