Chapter Background

The Central Alabama Chapter is co-led by Jennifer W. Drummonds, DNP, CRNP, ANP-BC, and Keri Barron, PhD, RN, CNE.

Dr. Drummonds is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner working as an Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing. She also maintains a faculty practice at the UAB Gardendale Cardiology Clinic that focuses on providing cardiovascular care to patients in her hometown community.

Dr. Barron is an Assistant Professor at The University of Alabama – Capstone College of Nursing and has been a full-time faculty member since August 2017. Dr. Barron’s research focuses on the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease in underserved communities.
