Course Overview
Join Keith Ferdinand, MD as he discusses the challenges and disparities health care providers face in the reduction of cardiovascular risk. This session will describe healthcare disparities in risk factor prevalence, co-morbid disease states, and current CVD outcomes in the United States. The course will also explore genetic variations and environmental impacts. and review successful strategies in closing the healthcare gap among racial and ethnic minority groups.
