Course Overview

Throughout this CE course, Mariann Piano, PhD, RN will review current U.S. trends and discuss the general and cardiovascular risks associated with regarding substance abuse and cardiovascular disease. Learn strategies for counseling patients regarding the use of e-cigarettes or other vaping products, energy drinks, and alcohol use. This course will also cover key strategies, including pharmacotherapy, to prevent transient ischaemic attack (TIA), stroke, and recurrent cerebrovascular events.
