Course Overview
Join Jane Linderbaum, MS, CNP, AACC, as she reviews basic heart sounds (S1, S2) and how to recognize third and fourth sounds, gallops, and pericardial rubs. After this course, you will be able to describe and identify diagnostic heart sounds/murmurs including hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, mitral valve prolapse, and aortic and mitral stenosis and regurgitation. Additionally, this course will discuss the clinical significance of pathological heart sounds and identify next steps in clinical management.
