Yvonne Commodore-Mensah Represents PCNA for Scientific Statement on Psychological Health, Well-Being, and the Mind-Heart-Body Connection
Thank you to Yvonne Commodore-Mensah for representing PCNA and nursing in the creation of a new scientific statement the American Heart Association (AHA) on the relationship between psychological health and cardiovascular disease. We are so proud of our accomplishments and to have you on our board of directors.
From the AHA:
“A new Statement from the American Heart Association provides a synthesis of the science currently available on the relationship between psychological health and cardiovascular disease (CVD). It defines basic concepts for understanding psychological health, well-being, and the mind-heart-body connection; considers both negative and positive impacts of psychology on health; and suggests simple steps to screen for, and ultimately improve, the psychological and physical health of patients at risk for CVD.”
