Member Center: For Nurses, By Nurses

Get Involved

We need you to help PCNA grow and become a better organization. PCNA's members provide the vital support necessary to fulfill our mission of promoting nurses as leaders in cardiovascular disease prevention and management.

Most people volunteer because it makes them feel good to give back. In addition, there are some specific benefits that make volunteering with PCNA a smart move for nurses.

Build Your Skills

Are you new to giving educational presentations? Chapter events are a great stepping stone to gaining experience in front of a small audience. Submit an application to join our list of speakers.

Is developing educational content more suited to your interests? Create slide decks for our chapter library.

Hesitant to submit an abstract to larger conferences that are highly competitive? Submit an abstract for the Annual Symposium. We have mentors available to help you before you even submit your abstract.

Development Your Leadership Skills

Join a chapter leadership team or start a chapter in your area. Work together to set chapter goals, choose presentation topics, and grow membership!

Share your experiences by becoming an abstract mentor or submitting an application to join a PCNA Committee.

Recognize an outstanding colleague (or yourself!) by applying for a PCNA award.

Become an Ambassador

Give back to the  profession by being a nurse ambassador. Share your experiences and advice with fellow nurses in a story for the newsletter or through social media.

Advance the Profession
Do you specialize in a specific cardiac disease? Provide the most up to date information in your field to help develop patient education and webinar content.

Network and Build a Support System

Become involved in your local chapter, meet new people, network and have fun!
