CARDIA: Cardiac Arrhythmia, Sudden Death, Inherited Cardiovascular Disease, Athletes

Sponsored by the Stanford University School of Medicine

Ever wonder how you can identify genetic cardiovascular disease? Or when to consider genetic testing in your patients? Consider attending the CARDIA professional conference that is being put on by the Stanford Center for Inherited Cardiovascular Disease. These two exciting days are dedicated to learning about inherited lipid disorders, cardiomyopathies, arrhythmias, utility of genetic testing, and so much more!

As frontline cardiology providers, nurses we are in a real position to diagnose many of these genetic conditions that can benefit from early therapies and close screening. Please also notice that there is a nursing track where we will have time to dig deeper into how we can all positively effect a patient’s care.

Also, despite what it says on the website and in the brochure, they are still accepting posters, including interesting case studies. If you are unable to join, please spread the word about this opportunity to your colleagues.

Date: June 21 & June 22
Location: Paul Brest Hall, Munger Conference Center, Standford University
