The Minnesota/Wisconsin PCNA Chapter was started in May 2007 following the April PCNA Annual Symposium in Minneapolis by Jill Lucca, Mary Maier and Cindy Schabert.
This chapter serves the Minnesota (Duluth, Brainerd, St. Cloud, Minneapolis, St. Paul) and Wisconsin (Superior, Eau Claire, LaCrosse, Madison, Milwaukee, Green Bay) areas.
The Minnesota/Wisconsin chapter is predominantly made up of RNs from hospital/inpatient settings, cardiac rehabilitation programs, and cardiology practices. Approximately one quarter of each state’s membership consists of advanced practice nurses (primarily NPs) but also includes CNS, DNPs and PhDs. Membership is open to all healthcare professionals with an interest in cardiovascular care and prevention with a primary goal to support the national PCNA Mission and Goals Statement.
The MN/WI PCNA Chapter welcomes new members especially those with an interest in chapter leadership roles and planning of future educational events.
