Chapter Information

The First Coast PCNA Chapter was started in 2009 by Irma Ancheta, Barbara Fletcher, Lynn Caudilla, Cheryl Roche, and Antonia Cuaresma. It serves the Jacksonville, Florida and St. Mary’s, Georgia areas.

Members consist of academic professors, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, primary care, family practice, cardiac rehabilitation and clinic nurse.

The First Coast Chapter aims to provide education in the prevention of cardiovascular disease through presentation of yearly CEU’s and encouraging the use of PCNA’s educational materials.

“Every year, 10% of our registration fees go to support international and local charities. So far, we have provided and bought a NICU crib and donated this to the Cebu City Medical Center, Philippines. This crib has been utilized every day and has had approximately served between 800-1400 premature babies to date. We have given 10% to the Legacy of Care Clinic that provides free clinic visits to the uninsured. We have given 10% to the Volunteers in Medicine that provides free medicines and clinic visits to uninsured families.” - Irma Ancheta
