Excellence in Clinical Practice Award


Sponsored by PCNA and the American Heart Association's Council on Cardiovascular Nursing, this award recognizes and encourages excellence in cardiovascular nursing clinical practice. The winner will be recognized at the annual dinner of the Council on Cardiovascular Nursing held during the AHA Scientific Sessions. The winner will also receive: $1,000, an engraved plaque, complimentary council dinner ticket, recognition and presentation of the plaque at the council dinner, and complimentary registration to the AHA Scientific Sessions.

Criteria

To be eligible one must:

  • Be nominated by an AHA Council on Cardiovascular Nursing member
  • Have an established career as a CV nurse clinician
  • Have had a membership in the AHA Council on Cardiovascular Nursing for a minimum of 5 years
  • Have been actively involved in the AHA at the affiliate, local or national level within the last 5 years, and have a history of contributions to AHA goals and objectives
  The 2012 submission deadline has passed. Please stay tuned for the 2013 award information.
