This 14-page booklet will help patients to understand if they have normal, are at risk for, or have high blood pressure and what they can do to achieve normal blood pressure. This booklet was written in easy-to-understand language and includes charts, checklists, and quizzes to help patients track their progress in lowering their blood pressure.

Patient Handout: High Blood Pressure

 

This double-sided patient handout is a companion piece to the 2010 PCNA brochure “Blood Pressure: How Do You Measure Up?” This piece summarizes strategies to control blood pressure, including: understanding blood pressure numbers and cardiovascular risk, reducing sodium consumption, selecting and using a home blood pressure monitor, and understanding medications.
